Weeping endures for a night, but Joy comes in the Morning

Psalm 126:1-6/ Hang in there, he is about to turn your weeping into laughter, your mourning into dancing, your sorrow into joy.

“When the LORD restored the fortunes of Zion, we were like those who dream. Then our mouth was filled with laughter, and our tongue with shouts of joy; then they said among the nations, “The LORD has done great things for them.

"Laughter" - NARA - 559132

The LORD has done great things for us; we are glad. Restore our fortunes, O LORD, like streams in the Negeb! Those who sow in tears shall reap with shouts of joy! He who goes out weeping, bearing the seed for sowing, shall come home with shouts of joy, bringing his sheaves with him.”

  1. very true! I love this in the KJV the best – so poetic. Love the drawing here too – Who is the artist? I don’t know that name (out of the ‘art loop’ for a long time here).

  2. Can’t wait to show this one to my wife, Walter. She’s been really down the last couple of weeks, and I tell her every morning that she needs to be a blessing. One of the hardest things to do as a human being is be a blessing to someone in the midst of what you feel is a blessing-less season in your life. We have to “sow” our way out of those tribulations. He will reward our faithfulness to Him by being faithful to us. Thank you for the great post, and thank God He gave it to you. Blessings, Brother.

    • Hey Guy, first of all my heart goes out your family and I will remember your wife in my prayers. I must agree with you that one of the hardest things to do is think about others when you are going through a trying time. But when we do, and persevere in it – we are bound to reap a harvest. I hope and pray that the post is a real blessing to her when you share it. Blessings on you brother and thanks for sharing you thoughts!

    • Hey Brian, you are welcome. I am always encouraged to know that He who brought me in …will be faithful to bring me out of any situation. I hope you can rest in that truth today. He is bring you out. You know the verse in Psalm 23…even though I walk THROUGH the valley… Somebody once said the valley is not a permanent place to dwell… That God never intended for us to dwell, stay or rest there. It is a place we pass through. That why I say – He is bringing us out!
      I appreciate you brother!
