The Lame Beggar Healed/ ACTS 3:1-9
Now Peter and John were going up to the temple at the hour of prayer, the ninth hour. And a man lame from birth was being carried, whom they laid daily at the gate of the temple called the Beautiful Gate to ask alms of those entering the temple. Seeing Peter and John about to go into the temple, he asked to receive alms. And Peter directed his gaze at him, as did John, and said, “Look at us.” And he fixed his attention on them, expecting to receive something from them. But Peter said, “I have no silver and gold, but what I do have I give to you. In the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, rise up and walk!” And he took him by the right hand and raised him up, and immediately his feet and ankles were made strong. And leaping up he stood and began to walk, and entered the temple with them, walking and leaping and praising God. And all the people saw him walking and praising God, and recognized him as the one who sat at the Beautiful Gate of the temple, asking for alms. And they were filled with wonder and amazement at what had happened to him.
Step Number 2″
“Expecting to receive something from them”
It is one thing to pray for a miracle but totally another thing to expect to receive what you are praying for. Expectation is a divine faith posture. One that inspires you to call those things that are not even as though they are.
Every minute spent focusing on the situation is a minute used by doubt and the devil to delay your miracle. God is God and he makes all things beautiful in His own time. But sometimes, divine appointment and mountain moving faith can release miracles without delay.
Immediate – The Bible say immediate a miracle happened in his life. All he had to do was get his mind of the impossible. All he had to do was move his eyes away from his condition – even for a nano second – for a miracle to happen. All he had to do was to say to himself, I know these guy can help me – I may not get silver or gold – but I expect something good to happen to me today. You can do the same!
Maybe today you need a miracle. I believe that God still works miracles. I urge you to fix your eyes on Him and expect nothing less than a supernatural miracle.
Pray with me:
Lord my eyes are on you. They are on you and you alone. Not on the doctors, though I appreciate the gift of science and thankful for the help you’ve allowed me to get through them. Heal me, touch me, lift me, deliver me. Thank you in advance for what you are going to do. You are not only able to do this – I know You are going to do it in Jesus’ Name – Amen!
