Day #9: I am the righteousness of God

“God will not go forth with that man who marches in his own strength.” Charles Spurgeon 1 Corinthians 5:21, “God made him who had no sin to be sin for us so that in him we might become the righteousness of God.” It is important to understand one big theological word. Justification God has made me right with Him, hence, I am accepted and righteous in His sight. All my sins are wiped away and I am now clothed with His righteousness. This word means to be made right with God. It is a gift from God. We get this by putting our faith in Jesus Christ. It is at this time we become the righteousness of God. Unfortunately, we all recognize that we are not perfect, and because of that we sometimes doubt our justification and confuse it with God’s call for us to embrace the process of sanctification. Our imperfections do not change the fact that we are the righteousness of God. When God looks at you, He looks through the eyes of …

Day #4: I am forgiven!

No sin in your past, present or future should paralyze your faith – because you are covered by the precious blood of Jesus. “I am writing to you, little children, because your sins are forgiven for his name’s sake.” 1 John 2:12. It is so amazing to know you are forgiven. It isn’t just the feeling of feeling forgiven, it is the understanding of how much you’ve been forgiven. It is the share fact that you no longer face the penalty of death for your sins. It is the joy that comes to your life because the weight of all your guilt is lifted. All of your debt, past, present and future has been erased, wiped clean – free of charge. That is amazing grace, something that everyone should know and experience. Scriptures says, “as far as the east is from the west, so far does he remove our transgressions from us” (Psalm 103:12). All your transgressions All your Iniquities All your sins committed All your sins omitted All washed away with the blood of …

His seed had budded within and I would never be the same. We had completed our baptismal classes. We were baptized. My spiritual father insisted that we memorize Romans 8. Everyone of us had committed the chapter to memory. We stood before the congregation, just before our first communion, and with one voice, one proud, loud and joyful voice, we recited the greatest chapter in the entire bible – Romans 8: The Spirit of Life There is therefore now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus. For the law of the Spirit of life has set you free in Christ Jesus from the law of sin and death. For God has done what the law, weakened by the flesh, could not do. By sending his own Son in the likeness of …
